Thank you Clif!
Clif elevated their sponsorship level straight to the top this season, signing on as title sponsor of the 2019 Clif Cascadia Dirt Cup. In addition to all the great nutrition and hydration support they provide on race day, Clif came with a clear vision and strong support for youth racing. With strategic planning and a strong partnership, we were able to energize youth racing at our events with the strongest turnout ever across all youth categories. It was especially exciting to see more youth girls joining our events, with enough girls racing by mid-season to create their own categories, which had previously been co-ed with the youth boys. Thank you Clif for your vision and commitment to youth racing, and generous support to make the 2019 season an incredible success!
The Cascadia Dirt Cup is generously supported by these exceptional businesses. 'Tis the season and a most excellent time to keep our sponsors in mind when making and fulfilling those holiday wish lists this year!
Thank you Volunteers!
Volunteers, you truly are the magic behind the mayhem on race day. It is all your hard work that makes our series run so smoothly, we can't do what we do without you! Our racers share their positive feedback often on how much they enjoy our events - the people, the atmosphere, and all the fun. It really does take a village to make it all run, and volunteers are consistently mentioned as a key element that is noticed and appreciated. Thank you for being a part of it all and making the magic happen.
The picture below represents just ONE THIRD of the crew that it takes to put on a CDC event. At any given race, there is a team of over 60 volunteers working behind the scenes. From parking patrol to racer check-in, timers at every start and finish line and trail sweeps covering the entire course, marshals and medical and merchandise, it's a major commitment of time and energy, from daylight to dusk, in all kinds of crazy weather, everyone there to make sure the event is well supported and racers have a great time!
Special thanks to Dan Saimo of D1RTCO for the donation of his time and talent designing our volunteer t-shirts to outfit our volunteers in this season. We wanted to create a strong visual statement of the incredible number of people it takes to put on these events. Our entire volunteer force turning out in the same shirt on race day created a shining sea of blue. The back of the shirt included logos of the volunteer-based organizations that also play a big role in making the CDC happen. Forward to back, the CDC was built on and strengthened by volunteers. From the racers to the CDC crew, thank you for all you do and making us look so good! THANK YOU to all our fabulous volunteers, we greatly appreciate you!!
