Lift-Assisted // Double Runs Down Each Stage // Your Best Time Counts
Race Cascadia is stoked to be the feature event at Mt. Bachelor's annual Volcanic Bike & Brew Festival happening August 24 & 25, 2018 in Bend, Oregon.
Bike & Brew is an exciting backdrop for the grand finale of Mt. Bachelor's Gravity Race Series, and Race Cascadia is tapping into the gravity element and emphasis on a lively festival atmosphere to add a creative spin to the traditional enduro format - a fully lift-assisted race with double runs down each stage, timed using SPORTident's world class timing system - rolling starts, flying finishes, race and repeat and results calculated by your best time for each stage.

BLACK = transfer // GREEN means GO!
If course tape is on both sides the trail you must go between the tape.
If tape is on one side of the trail do not cross the tape.
First Aid is roaming on course in various locations, and typically available at the finish lines.
Safety trumps everything. Ride within yourself and make good choices. Helmets must be worn and buckled at all times while on a bike. Two helmets are allowed to be carried (XC and full face). iPods/headphones/external speakers - NO! Don't even try, this will result in an immediate DQ!
Man Down Rule - If you come across a downed racer, you are required to stop and confirm if the down racer is uninjured before continuing on. If immediate medical aid is needed call 911 and/or wait for the next racer to come by. Then one racer goes to inform a race official and one racer stays with the down racer. If life threatening, get help!
Passing - If you hear “on your right” or “on your left” you need to let the faster rider pass but only pull off to the side of the trail when it is safe to do. This is not a XC race... NO BLOCKING. If you've been caught by a rider that started 30 seconds behind you, they're a little faster than you, so let them by as soon as it's safe to do so.
