DIRECTIONS

TIGER STATE FOREST
From Seattle take I-90 East to Highway 18/Exit 25. Continue South on Highway 18 for 4.4 miles, until you reach East Tiger summit on your right.

From Tacoma take I-5 North.  Take Exit 142A onto Hwy 18.  Follow Hwy 18 for 37.5 miles until you reach East Tiger summit on your left.
The first/lower parking lot is at the entrance to East Tiger summit. Drive through the lot and turn left onto a gravel road. Continue approximately 1/4 of a mile to the second/upper parking lot on the right, serving as the race hub. Please look for the parking attendants and pay attention to where they instruct you to park. Parking fills from the upper lot and then down the road to the lower lot. COURSE MARKINGS

Start and Finish Lines are marked with black CDC Flags.

If course tape is on both sides the trail you must go between the tape.

If tape is on one side of the trail do not cross the tape.

NEUTRAL SUPPORT

Neutral Support will be in main venue area and on course.

FEED STATION

We will have a feed station on course. This is to supplement you. For your safety and protection is it still required that you carry enough nutrition and hydration to complete the whole race.

FIRST AID

First Aid is roaming on course in various locations, and typically available at the finish lines.

SAFETY

Safety trumps everything. Ride within yourself and make good choices. Helmets must be worn and buckled at all times while on a bike. Two helmets are allowed to be carried (XC and full face). iPods/headphones/external speakers - NO! Don't even try, this will result in an immediate DQ!

Man Down Rule - If you come across a downed racer, you are required to stop and confirm if the down racer is uninjured before continuing on. If immediate medical aid is needed call 911 and/or wait for the next racer to come by. Then one racer goes to inform a race official and one racer stays with the down racer. If life threatening, get help!

Passing - If you hear “on your right” or “on your left” you need to let the faster rider pass but only pull off to the side of the trail when it is safe to do. This is not a XC race... NO BLOCKING. If you've been caught by a rider that started 30 seconds behind you, they're a little faster than you, so let them by as soon as it's safe to do so.
