CDC Round 5
DRY HILL
ENDURO
SEPTEMBER 16-17, 2023 | PORT ANGELES, WA
NOTES ON PRACTICE!
Dry Hill is home to the NW Cup, the #1 Downhill series around. And the weekend before our race, is their race weekend! For that reason DryHill is CLOSED TO ENDURO PRACTICE on September 8,9,&10th. Lets be good team players and respect their space, or better yet, go spectate and heckle and get a Dry Hill Double Header weekend!
BEFORE YOU GO
Sign your waivers online! This saves a lot of time during check in. Fill out one waiver for each racer in your family. Youth waivers must be signed by a parent or guardian (no coaches or family friends.) A signed waiver is required to receive a timing chip and number plate. Youth who do not have a waiver signed by their parent will not be allowed to race, no exceptions.
THINK ABOUT VOLUNTEERING!
This is the last time we'll ask! (This season 😉). But as always, we could use some volunteers. If you're coming to the Dry Hill Enduro and have a friend, family, sibling, neighbor, or stranger you met at safeway, have them slam this link! These races don't happen with the help of dedicated volunteers like you, so think about it, we'd love to have you :)

PARKING Park at the lower Elwha Food and Fuel for all practice parking. Race weekend parking will be at the venue
-
A Discover Pass is required for parking Dry Hill
-
Parking is limited, carpooling highly recommended.
🐶 We love our dogs of Cascadia, but please note no dogs are allowed on course at any time, and all dogs must be on leash at the race venue. Please be a responsible pet owner and pick up after them - don't leave poop bags in the woods!
PLEASE BRING TO EVERY RACE
FOOD + WATER - Bring more than you think you'll need! Plan to carry at least 50 ounces of water on you at all times while riding, plus carb and protein rich snacks to have on hand throughout the day. The aid station on course is not intended to be your sole support, it's intended for water top-offs and food to supplement you. Proper preparation goes a long way in preventing emergencies on race day.
HELMETS / BODY PROTECTION Helmets must be worn at all times while on course, on both the transfers and race stages. If you're pedaling you must have your helmet securely fastened or risk disqualification. A full face helmet is highly suggested, but not mandatory. Additional body protection to consider are gloves, knee pads, eye protection, neck braces, chest protection, elbow guards, etc.
COURSE MAP Download the Trailforks App to your mobile device with updated regional maps including the event course links released on Wednesday evening of race week; if you do not have a mobile write down the course details with stage names and order to carry with you during the event, found in the race guide or on the information board in the main venue.
TRASH - Pack it in, pack it out. Please help us keep the forest clean while we're guests at the race venue.
TOOLS - Pack a small tool kit with puncture repair kit + multi tool for on the fly trailside repairs
AID - Consider a basic first aid kit with sunscreen, bug spray and bandaids to take care of the bites, burns, stings and things. A waterproof jacket, emergency blanket and whistle area all good ideas too!
